Plastics Day - Dec. 1

Shawnee State University to host Plastics Day on Dec. 1

Shawnee State University’s Office of Admissions will host their annual Plastics Day on Friday, Dec. 1. The event welcomes high school students and parents who are interested in learning more about the Plastics Engineering Technology program at SSU.

Attending students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities throughout the day to provide them with more information about SSU’s nationally-ranked Plastics Engineering Technology program. The event will offer students and parents interactive workshops, academics and scientific presentations, a panel discussion with industry SSU alumni, and lunch in the Bears’ Den Dining Hall. Students will also have the chance to operate plastics processing equipment and create their choice of a polymer-based plastic product like ice scrapers or Frisbees.

Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Morris University Center on campus and the event will officially begin at 9:30 a.m. To learn more about the event or to register for SSU’s Plastics Day, visit www.shawnee.edu/plastics-day.
